What to look for in a used Nissan
Nissan CVT in Altima/Rogue/Sentra/Murano: 2013-2018 models had the most CVT issues; 2019+ improved. Always confirm CVT fluid service and ask whether the CVT has been replaced. The VQ35 V6 in older Murano and Maxima is durable. Frontier 4.0L V6 is essentially indestructible — a 200K-mile Frontier is barely broken in. Body rust is uncommon in Florida but check rocker panels on northern-state vehicles.
